Eight optical elements arranged in seven groups including three aspherical elements and one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element. These combine to provide high resolution and suppresses colour fringing across the entire image. A 7-blade circular aperture creates beautiful background defocus bokeh effects, ideal for making portraits and to isolate the subject from the background
Subject tracking is maintained regardless of quick changes in the subject’s motion, making this lens ideal for situations like snap shooting of moving subjects as found when travelling, shooting street scenes or filming people in motion.
The high quality construction includes engraved iris ring indices, focal length markings and Sony logo on the hood. This gives a premium feel to the 24mm f/2.8 G lens, despite being amongst the smallest and lightest in the .
