Despite featuring a constant f/2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range, this is one of the more compact , which weighs in at just 335g and feels perfectly balanced on Fuji’s APS-C sized camera bodies.
At the ultra wide angle 11mm end, the 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD Lens delivers stunning close-up performance with a 0.15m minimum object distance (MOD), along with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4. This provides an excellent creative wide-angle macro option for ultra wide close-up shots, with exaggerated proportions and unique results.

This is the fourth Tamron , which joins the , Â and . The latest model is the widest zoom available from Tamron, offering an equivalent 16.5-30mm (full-frame format) and a constant aperture.
It’s also remarkably compact and portable at 86.5mm long and 335g, which is ideal for handheld photography and videography, as well as being suitable for a  or compact , such as the .
The ultra wide angle view is suitable for a range of subjects, from epic landscapes to street photography, cityscapes and even general snapshots at the 30mm end of the range.
Excellent optical performance
An optical design consisting of 12 elements in 10 groups including two GM (Glass Moulded Aspherical) lens elements ensure high resolution from edge to edge. The 11-20mm f/2.8 lens also incorporates one XLD (Extra Low Dispersion) and two LD (Low Dispersion) elements, which produce sharp images with well-corrected aberrations.
Tamron’s BBAR-G2 (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection Generation 2) coating is employed to minimise ghosting and flare, helping to reveal the finest details even when your subject is backlit. This ensures that your results show high contrast and rich colours in virtually any shooting situation.

Quiet RXD stepping motor for video
Tamron’s RXD stepping motor unit is fast, accurate and extremely quiet, which provides sharp focus even with continuously moving subjects, whilst being ideal for both still and video. The quiet AF allows the lens to be used unobtrusively when shooting indoors and for video recording where low noise levels are essential.

Weather sealed for outdoor content creation
Tamron has placed seals around the lens mount and other critical areas, in order to prevent ingress of moisture and raindrops.The front surface of the lens element is also coated with a protective fluorine compound, which has excellent water and oil repellent properties, for easy cleaning of dirt and debris when required.
