Voigtlander 27mm f/2 Ultron Lens for Fujifilm X Black Summary
The Voigtlander 27mm f/2 Ultron Lens is an interchangeable lens for the FUJIFILM X-mount. It is a large aperture manual focus standard lens that covers an APS-C size image circle, and has an angle of view similar to 40mm in full-frame equivalent.
Features:
- Designed exclusively for Fujifilm X mount
- Information communication with camera body via electronic contacts
- Highly rigid and durable all-metal lens barrel
- Manual helix for reliable fine accuracy of focus
- Aperture ring for mechanical direct connection operation
- Beautiful bokeh with 10-blade iris diaphragm
- Shortest shooting distance 0.25m
The optical design is optimized for the image sensor of the FUJIFILM X System cameras. The lens is equipped with electronic contacts and information for reliable communication between the lens and body. Using those bodies which support communications, the lens achieves “Exif information”, “Focus check”, and “Shooting distance interlocking display”. Certain models also support “In-body image stabilization” and “Parallax correction” functions.
The angle of view of this lens is slightly wider than that of a standard lens, making it very versatile, and the aperture value is designed at F2. This is bright enough for practical use, but also allows us to keep the overall size of the product compact and slim.
The overall length of the lens extends only about 23mm from the mount, making it highly portable. The close minimum focusing distance is 0.25m, making it ideal for tabletop photos of food or your favorite small items. The lens focus ring is equipped with a lever for easy and precise control. The approximate focus point, as set by the lever’s rotation, can also be determined without looking at the distance scale by users who like to do quick zone-focusing.
The aperture blades consist of 10 elements with 1/3-step clicks that take into account the shape of the bokeh. The aperture ring opens and closes directly with the aperture mechanism, providing the user with the precise feeling of manual focusing.
The durable all-metal exterior is available in silver or black. Both models come with a dedicated domed screw-in lens hood (black finish).

Note:
(1) It is recommended to change the setting of the aperture value display from TNo to FNo in the camera menu.
(2) It is recommended to change the depth of field indicator in the camera menu to the film standard (the same value as the depth scale engraved on the lens).
(3) Please use the latest firmware as the performance may not run or some of the functions may be limited if the firmware is older than the one listed.
To check the firmware of the camera body you are using and get the latest firmware, please refer to the manufacturer’s instruction manual.
(4) When used with a model that does not support data communication, change the housing setting [Freigabe ohne Objektiv] to “ON”.
When using the X-T2, you can display the aperture number by changing the aperture value display in the settings from TNo to FNo.
