Renowned for its exceptional optical performance, the 35mm APO Lanthar ranks among the sharpest semi-wide  ever made. It’s capable of producing superb image quality from a minimum focusing distance of 0.27m all the way to infinity, all while minimising aberrations.

This Z-mount lens has been designed with a unified exterior to match the aesthetic of the family of full-frame Z-mount lenses. It also comes with a bayonet-style metal hood, which can be reverse-mounted for easy portability. The 12-bladed aperture design from  remains perfectly circular not only at the wide-open f/2 but also at f/2.8 and f/5.6, offering smooth, creamy bokeh.

For improved manual focus precision, the focus ring rotation angle has been increased to 250°, making long-distance focusing more accurate. Additionally, when paired with a camera supporting lens data transfer, the electronic contacts allow EXIF data transfer, in-body image stabilisation (3-axis), and three types of focus assist: focus peaking, frame colour change, and focus enlargement button.
